Arthur lands at the Futuroscope

The information circulated for several months but is now confirmed. In December 2009, the Vienna park novelty, Arthur and the Minimoys, dons the colors of the bookstore and cinema success.  Its creator, Luc Besson, and its production company, Europa Corp., are currently working on giving a home to its heroes inside the old building of the Défi d’Atlantis (Atlantis’ Challenge).
In the spirit of the film − respect for nature and discovery of a new universe − the attraction will offer visitors to slip into the skin of a Minimoy, a tiny imaginary creature, time enough to live an adventure very close to that Arthur who waits in the second opus of the trilogy.
In this case, it is an exclusive 4-minute mini film, produced in 3D, projected on a giant IMAX dome, synchronized to the juddering of simulator and peppered with 4D effects. According to preliminary information, visitors, settled in ladybugs, head for turbulent airborne adventures. They come head to head with a spider, visit Paradise Alley (veritable Las Vegas miniature), fly over the Minimoy’ village and have multiple meetings with giant insects.
The building itself will undergo significant work to accommodate the new sceneries, which will immerse visitors into the microscopic world of Arthur. There is even talk of façade elevators to carry the public to the main room, thus having them live a precursory adventure. As for the queue, it will snake among a bucolic world of giant plants.
